Linux "expand" Command Line Options and Examples
convert tabs to spaces

Convert tabs in each FILE to spaces, writing to standard output. With no FILE, or when FILE is -, read standard input. Mandatory arguments to long options are mandatory for short options too.


Usage:

expand [OPTION]... [FILE]...




Command Line Options:

-i
do not convert tabs after non blanks
expand -i ...
-t
have tabs N characters apart, not 8
expand -t ...
--help
display this help and exit
expand --help ...
--version
