Linux "chroot" Command Line Options and Examples
run command or interactive shell with special root directory

Run COMMAND with root directory set to NEWROOT. --groups=G_LIST specify supplementary groups as g1,g2,..


Usage:

chroot [OPTION] NEWROOT [COMMAND [ARG]...]
    chroot OPTION




Command Line Options:

--groups
specify supplementary groups as g1,g2,..,gN
chroot --groups ...
--userspec
specify user and group (ID or name) to use
chroot --userspec ...
--skip-chdir
do not change working directory to '/'
chroot --skip-chdir ...
--help
display this help and exit
chroot --help ...
--version
