Linux "b2sum" Command Line Options and Examples
compute and check BLAKE2 message digest

Print or check BLAKE2 (512-bit) checksums. With no FILE, or when FILE is -, read standard input.


Usage:

b2sum [OPTION]... [FILE]...




Command Line Options:

-b
read in binary mode
b2sum -b ...
-c
read BLAKE2 sums from the FILEs and check them
b2sum -c ...
-l
digest length in bits; must not exceed the maximum for the blake2 algorithm and must be a multiple of 8
b2sum -l ...
--tag
create a BSD-style checksum
b2sum --tag ...
-t
read in text mode (default)The following five options are useful only when verifying checksums:
b2sum -t ...
--ignore-missing
don't fail or report status for missing files
b2sum --ignore-missing ...
--quiet
don't print OK for each successfully verified file
b2sum --quiet ...
--status
don't output anything, status code shows success
b2sum --status ...
--strict
exit non-zero for improperly formatted checksum lines
b2sum --strict ...
-w
warn about improperly formatted checksum lines
b2sum -w ...
--help
display this help and exit
b2sum --help ...
--version
output version information and exitThe sums are computed as described in RFC 7693. When checking, the input should be a former output of this program.
